On Wednesday 30th April, VIP guests were invited to an exclusive event in association with Fritz Hansen at the Saatchi Gallery in London to celebrate the furniture and craftsmanship of Danish designer Poul Kjærholm.
A string quartet from the London Philharmonic Orchestra set the scene as guests were treated to a champagne reception before a special presentation all about the Poul Kjærholm collection by world-renowned historian and author Michael Sheridan.
Following this thought-provoking discussion, guests were invited to a special exhibition of the full Poul Kjærholm collection. This installation brilliantly showcased the designer’s particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
